Ask HN: Do you feel like you're seeing fewer bugs since the AI coding era began?

Just gut feel. Software you encounter, use regularly, whatever. Not the stuff you work on if you do.

Feel like things are more stable and work better? Less so? About the same?

Yes very much, but burns a lot of credits.. so recently i added a feature to write test cases using AI and then keep it running regularly. While identifying the test cases is managed by AI and even coding those cases and run them by the AI there by when it runs we dont burn credits and get a better quality output

no, and nobody can find them anymore since nobody knows how the system works or has mental model of the system. They stack up until we revert, talk about the issues, plan to do better, then do the same thing since we don't have time for quality.

The bugs have migrated from within the codebase to within my mental model of the code.

I think there are more. Because there are a lot more half-assed projects out there with things that just don't work quite right.
